The Faith in Argyll website was established in 2013 and is steadily
developing. Please treat it as an incomplete project; in fact,
such is its nature it might never be "finished"..........

Faith in Argyll is an initiative arising out of a dream brought to fruition by Norman Martin, Margaret Jacobsen, and the late Alan Hawkins, all with strong links to the Iona Community.
Their desire is to give residents and visitors to the county an
understanding that in this beautiful place there are many worshipping
communities. The project will gather information, prayers and reflections from many Argyll faith communities. It is also hoped that, by sharing their prayers and stories, the various faith communities will come to know their neighbours better.
We are all pilgrims, each on our own faith journey and we recognise
that our tourists can be pilgrims too - and pilgrims can be tourists.
Read how the the team expressed their dream in an earlier letter.
At a later stage Paul Heppleston joined the team; he
currently lives in the Derbyshire Peak District and, like
the original team members, also belongs to the Iona
Community.
The remaining pages of this site are devoted to contributions from Argyll churches and from others with a passion for the county. Explore churches via
