The Kilchoan Estate (nr Kilmelford, Oban) was bought in 2015 by MMJKUNJJ and is a cultural and educational enterprise in re-wilding, preservation and sustainability for the benefit of the people of Argyll and the world.

The inspiration for the Kilchoan Initiative comes from Iona, as an open and welcoming place for all those that seek a connection with the natural and the spiritual. It honours
the legacy of all those that have contributed to the remembrance of St Columba and the establishment of Iona as a world sanctuary.

The Estate is the home of a cultural and educational initiative that seeks to contribute
to the challenge of reconciling conservation and sustainability in nature with the consequences
of mankind’s race for improved conditions for billions of people.

The questions they seek to address are universally
challenging :

How can we make development compatible
with a cleaner, healthier environment?

Can we repair the damage we have brought
upon our habitat?

One of the tremendous things it has already done is to build a chapel (it's the photo at the top of this page), surely a visonary act of faith and purpose.

Visit its website (
http://www.kilchoanestate.co.uk) for comprehensive information its vision and hopes for the future.
