“Living Stones Christian Centre” in the village of Kilmartin is the meeting place for a group of Christians previously known as The Renewal Fellowship which was formed in
1973 in the early days of the Charismatic Renewal in Scotland. We are an independent, charismatic, evangelical church made up of people from many different church backgrounds but ‘all one in Him’.
In the years following 1973 meetings were held in members homes on Poltalloch Estate
and as the fellowship grew in numbers and circumstaces changed a new meeting place
was required. In the interim the Kilmartin Church of Scotland hall was made available to the fellowship.
In the year 2000-01 land became available on a development site at Kilmartin
and the 'Living Stones Christian Centre' was opened on April 20th 2002, the
culmination of many years of prayer for the 'right place'. Friends came from all
over great Britain to celebrate the event and praise God for honouring those
prayers.
Regular weekly meetings are held in the Centre with a strong emphasis on lively worship, ministry of the Word and openness to the gifts of the Spirit. A number of people have
told members of the fellowship that they have found these meetings to be occasions when they have been refreshed, given a new direction in their lives had an encounter with God which began a new relationship with him through Jesus. Others have described the Living Stones Christian Centre as an 'oasis' and indeed one family who holiday in the area describe it as a 'filling station'. We are here to encourage each other, to enhance our relationship with Jesus and God as our Father and also with each other as His Church.
